CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET ON MONDAY TO DISCUSS SUMMER PROGRAMS

The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday night at 5:00 p.m. inside the Large Group Room inside Highland Elementary School. The meeting is open with public hearings to any visitors that wish to share any concerns with the Board.

The Consent Agenda will include the approval of the meeting minutes of their Regular Meeting that took place on April 18 and all of their Special Meetings on May 2, 9, and 17. It will also include the approval of all of their current bills. The Consent Agenda will also include the acceptance of resignations letters from Washington Elementary School Aide, Jasmin Hanson, Highland Elementary School 4th Grade Teacher Rebecca Aaker, Highland School Paraprofessionals Rebekah Olson and Janae Luckow, Washington Elementary School Paraprofessional Cindy Johnson, Mechanic/Bus Driver Kenny Olson, and Crookston High School Physical Education Teacher Mike Hajostek. The final item on the Consent Agenda is to approve a Master Agreement with the AFSCME Dietary Group for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 School Years.

The Main Agenda will include approving a Resolution for Membership in the Minnesota State High School League for the 2022-23 School Year. It will also include approving the following Summer Programs: ALP Credit Recovery Summer School, Summer Orchestra, Summer Marching Band & Lessons, Summer Enrichment, and Community Ed Summer Mini Camps. The final item on the Main Agenda will be to approve a Fundraiser Request for summer pizza sales for the 2024 Europe Trip.

The Board will then hear Administrative Reports from Washington School Principal Denice Oliver, Highland Elementary Principal Chris Trostad, and Crookston High School Principal Nicki Martinez about events and progress at their respective schools. Crookston Public Schools Superintendent Jeremy Olson will also give a report about actions and plans for the school district.

The next School Board meeting will take place on Monday, June 27, at 5:00 p.m. at the Crookston High School Choir/Orchestra Room.
