CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET ON MONDAY

The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday, July 26 at 5:00 p.m. at the Crookston High School choir/orchestra room.

The consent agenda includes the approval of the minutes from June 28, 2021, and the approval of the current bills.
The personnel items include the following – resignation of Isaac Black as Science instructor, the retirement of Kenny Winger as Highland School custodian, a one year leave of absence for Tina Leach for the 2021-22 school year, the approval of the contract with the Crookston Education Association for 2021-22, 2022-23.
The personnel items include the approval of the hiring of Sutton Junkermeier as High School Social Studies instructor, Kiely Tate as School Readiness/ECFE Instructor at Washington School, Ashley Nirschl as Special Ed instructor, and Danielle Edlund, Jessica Holzer, Cindy Johnson, Emma Sherman as paraprofessionals.
The personnel items also include Dawn Brusoe and Kathy Borkowski changing from an Instructional aide to paraprofessional, Emily Fontyne switching from Success Coach to Interventionist at Crookston High School, and Emily Meyer switching from Paraprofessional to Success Coach.

Other items on the consent agenda include approving the student handbooks for Washinton, Highland, and Crookston High School.  The designation of official financial institutions for the payroll account as United Valley Bank, the financial account, and Lock Box account as Bremer bank.  The board will designate the investment authority as Superintendent Jeremy Olson, Business Manager Laura Lyczewski, and Fiscal Services Director Nancy Nottestad.  The official signatories will be School Board Chair Frank Fee, School Board Clerk Adrianne Winger, School Board Treasurer Tim Dufault, Superintendent Jeremy Olson, Business Manager Laura Lyczewski, and Fiscal Services Director Nancy Nottestad. 

The board will also designate personnel to lease, purchase, and contract for budgeted goods and services with Superintendent Jeremy Olson and Business Manager Laura Lyczewski.

The main agenda includes the approval of resolutions providing the sale of general obligation of school building refunding bonds, series 2021A, the long-term facilities maintenance plan – 10-year plan, the approval of a milk bid from Prairie Farms of Woodbury, and bread bid to Pan-O-Gold Bake Company of Fargo, North Dakota.  The board will be asked to approve a contract with Triumph Educational Consulting Services for the School District’s Deaf/Hard of Hearing services, the approval of the School Resource Officer with the City of Crookston from 2021 to 2024, approve the first reading of several policy updates, and the bids for the sale of the old bus garage. 

The board will also get reports from the three principals.

The Negotiations Committee will meet following the school board meeting in the District Office Conference room. 

The next Crookston School Board meeting will be held on Monday, August 23 at 5:00 p.m.
