CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD WILL MEET MONDAY

The Crookston School Board will meet Monday, January 27 at 5:00 p.m. in the choir and orchestra room at Crookston High School.  The meeting will include a presentation of the Gifted and Talented Program at Highland by Principal Chris Trostad and instructor Amber Sannes. 

The consent agenda includes approving the minutes from the December 9 and January 6 meetings, and current bills.  Also included are the following personal items: approve Dave Davidson as a High School English long-term substitute from December through January, approve Ira (Trey) Everett as a High School English long-term substitute for second semester, approve employment with Cathy Kolness as a High School Business Ed Teacher, approve lane advancement requests, approve employment agreement with administrative assistants, accept a letter of retirement from Dee Ann Sperling, an educational assistant, and accept a resignation letter from Rachel Loraas, a High School Special Education Instructor.  The review of policies 101, 102, 103, 108, 201, 203, 203.1, 203.5, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211, 212, 214, and the acceptance of grants and donations are also on the consent agenda.

The main agenda includes approving a quote for district HVAC services, a resolution approving the sale of general obligation building bonds for the bus garage project, a resolution supporting a grant request application to the Minnesota State School League, a media and communication contract, the first reading of proposed changes in school policies 202, 203, and an adjustment to average daily membership of the district.

The board will also hear school reports from Highland Principal Chris Trostad, Washington Principal Denice Oliver, and the superintendent’s report from Jeremy Olson.
