CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD WILL MEET ON MONDAY AT 5 PM

The Crookston School Board will meet in the Crookston High School choir and orchestra room on Monday, January 22, at 5:00 p.m.

The agenda will include the designation of the official law firms for the district to be Fischer, Rust, Stock and Rust, PLLC. The agenda will also include setting the time and dates for each school board meeting in 2024, which will be on the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. The agenda will also include the approval of school board committee assignments, approval of the final audit, approval of the Pay Equity report, and the approval of the resolution directing the administration to make recommendations for reductions in programs and positions and reasons thereof. The final item on the agenda will be the approval of the first reading of Policy 801, as recommended by the MSBA.

The consent agenda will include the approval of minutes from the December 11 meeting and the approval of current bills and disbursements. The personnel items will include the approval of salary lane advance requests and the approval of LOA for Highland Elementary School teacher Stacy Olson and Washington School teacher Megan Wright. It will include the acceptance of resignation from CHS custodian Jeremy Harris, the resignation from Boys Head Track and Field Coach Wayne Folkers, and the resignation from Special Education instructor Jenifer Dockter. The board will also look to approve the employment of Monique Arguelles as a paraprofessional at Washington Elementary School. The board will look to approve Mariah Christian and Alexis Durden as Cheer Team coaches.

The board will look to accept grants and donations from the United Way of Crookston for the CHS Patch Program in the amount of $1,000, the donation from the Eagles Auxiliary for the FFA program in the amount of $788.56, and the donation from the Crookston Youth Basketball Association for the boy’s and girl’s basketball programs in the amount of $1,000.
