CROOKSTON SCHOOL DISTRICT 1ST DAY ENROLLMENT IS UP

The Crookston School District has seen a slight enrollment increase on the first day of school yesterday.  The total enrollment first day total is 1132, which is up eight students from the first day of school last year.  The numbers were good news for the administration as they expected 1108 students.  “It is going in the right direction,” said Crookston Superintendent Jeremy Olson. “We were actually expecting a decrease based on our numbers and projections and we were thinking we would be around 1108.”
Crookston added two more students on the second day of school for 1134, but Olson said as the year goes along the enrollment usually goes down. “We are happy to see new families and we welcome them,” said Olson. “The state takes an average of every single day throughout the year, but it is a good start so far and adding some students is a good thing, but two weeks from now will give us a better number on what we can expect.  It is definitely a positive to start the year.”

Our Saviors School offers Preschool through Sixth grade and they have 34 students which is close to last year.

Cathedral School offers Preschool through Sixth grade and they have a total of 55 in Kindergarten through Sixth grade.
