CROOKSTON SPEECH TEAM PLACES 5TH AT EGF MEET, PROULX TAKES FIRST

The Crookston High School Speech team had five people reach the finals and the team finished fifth out of 11 teams at the East Grand Forks meet on Friday, February 15.  The following Crookston team members were awarded ribbons-

1st place – Victoria Proulx in Storytelling
2nd Place – Emily Gillette in Original Oratory
5th place – Linnea French in Humorous Interpretation
6th place – Ben Brantner in Extemp Speaking
6th place – Zara Baig in Humorous Interpretation
Blue Ribbon – Ed Luckow in Informative
Blue Ribbon – Linnea French in Storytelling
Red Ribbon – Ben Brantner-Discussion
Red Ribbon – George French in Humorous Interpretation 

Also participating in the meet for Crookston was Isaac Wandrie in Original Oratory and Elizabeth Helgeson in Humorous Interpretation.  The Speech team is coach by Phyllis Hagen, Colleen MacRae, Gay Wick and team manager is Muira MacRae.
