Hospice of the Red River Valley provides of variety of services beyond hospice care, aimed at providing a high quality of life, comfort and dignity to live well during life’s final months. They also provide palliative care for people living with chronic disease and grief support. Grief support is provided free of charge to anyone who has had a loved one die while under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. This support is offered free of charge due to partnerships like the one with United Way.
“The United Way gives for the bereavement support in the Crookston area which helped 74 people in the area with grief support this past year,” said United Way of Crookston executive director Lori Wagner. “Additional public presentations and classes are offered as well, including ‘Loss of a Child’ presentation and ‘Journeying Through Grief’ class. I think hospice has touched every heart in some way or manner in our lives.”
Hospice of the Red River Valley provides a resource library, support groups, grief classes & workshops, school support groups and grief presentations as part of their bereavement services.
