CROOKSTON WINS AWARD FOR BEST TASTING DRINKING WATER AT STATE FAIR

The City of Crookston won the People’s Choice Award for Best Tasting Drinking Water in The Great Minnesota Tap Water Taste Test at the Minnesota State Fair. Shannon Stassen, the City Administrator, said the quality of water is another great reason to be in Crookston. “The State Fair has a competition for the Best Tasting Drinking Water,” said Stassen.  “Brandon Carlson, our Water Superintendent, let me know that Crookston won. We’re the State Champs.  That’s pretty exciting, it really is.  We do have excellent water.  We have well water that comes from out east of town.  It’s a great thing about Crookston, one of the many.  But it’s also hats off to Brandon and all his folks.  They do a nice job maintaining that service.  And we’re happy to be recognized for another great reason to be here in Crookston and belong in Crookston.”
