CROOKSTON WRESTLERS GET A POLICE AND FIRE ESCORT AS THEY LEAVE FOR STATE

The five state-bound Crookston Pirate Wrestlers received a Crookston Police and Fire escort send-off on Thursday morning as they left for the Minnesota State High School League State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul. Pirate wrestlers competing at State are Carter Coauette, a 106-pound 8th grader, Ethan Bowman, a 113-pound freshman, Zach Brown, a 120-pound Junior, Hunter Knutson, a 145-pound freshman, and Ethan Boll, a 182-pound freshman who will all be competing for the Crookston Pirate Wrestling team in the State Individual Tournament beginning this Friday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Crookston’s five wrestlers competing at the State Tournament is one shy of the school record six that competed at State in 2011.
