SECTION 8A TEAM WRESTLING SEMI-FINALS POSTPONED TO TOMORROW AFTERNOON

The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team will wrestle the Frazee Hornets in a Section 8A Semi-final match in Fertile tonight and if they would win, they would wrestling for the Section championship after the semi-finals. The champion will punch their ticket to the Minnesota State Class A Wrestling Tournament. Crookston lost to Frazee during the regular season going down to the final weight with Frazee edging the Pirates 37-30. The Pirates, 15-9 in duals this season, won their quarterfinal Section match over Mahnomen-Waubun on Monday  while Frazee beat Barnesville Monday in their quarterfinal 57-15. The Hornets are 10-8 in duals. The other semi-final that will be held at the same time at the Fertile-Beltrami Gym in Fertile has the number one seed, United North Central going against Fosston-Bagley. The Pirate/Frazee match will be on KROX RADIO starting at 5:20 PM with the RiverView Health pre-game show and also the internet by going to the LISTEN LIVE link at the top of this page.
