The Crookston Park and Rec youth softball teams continue to do well in their tournaments with two more championships this week. The Crookston Ponies team and the Crookston Bantam team 2 won the Bagley tournament. The Crookston Bantam team 2 finished sixth place on Thursday.
The Crookston Ponies beat Red Lake Falls 6-5 in the first round. In the second round, they beat Clearbrook-Gonvick/Red Lake County Central 6-5 an in the championship, they beat Bagley 6-0. Members of the team are Jordan Bryant, Karena Longoria, Alex Luna, Haley Leckie, Katelyn Ringstand, Addie Fee, Shayla Azure, Dukessa Ramirez, Ella Meyer, Carley Knutson, and Adelia Weiland.
The team is coached by Kenze Epema and Jasmin Hanson.
The Crookston Bantam team 2 beat Red Lake Falls 4-0. In the second round, they beat Fertile-Beltrami 5-0 and in the championship, they beat Clearbrook-Gonvick/Red Lake County Central 6-0. Members of the team are Teegan Johnson, Peyton Hoffman, Lucy Paulsrud, Brea Lessard, Mollie Samuelson, Destiny Baglien, Peyton Demerais, Cora Prudhomme, Blake Brockpahler, Mya Bower, and Leia Parkin. The team is coached by Jenna Coauette and Eden Haller.
