David Mark Przybylski – Obit

David Mark Przybylski, age 65, of Myrtle Beach, SC died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Oaks of Charleston in Charleston, SC.

David Przybylski was born on May 21, 1957, in Park Rapids, MN son of Gordon and Eleanor Przybylski.  Soon after birth, the family moved to Crookston, MN where he was raised with 7 siblings.  His father, Gordon, passed away on January 4, 1963, and his mother, Eleanor passed on November 29, 2013.

Dave spent much of his life in Crookston.  He attended Cathedral Grade School, graduated in 1975 from Mount Saint Benedict High School and 1979 from St. Cloud State University. His early days included delivering the Crookston Daily Times newspaper, Boy Scout camping trips and sports of all kinds including football, baseball and hockey. Those sports carried him through high school where Dave was a standout baseball pitcher, hockey goalie and football letterman. At St. Cloud State University, Dave achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology & Human Services as well as Business Management. He also focused on his love of baseball and was a starting pitcher.

Upon graduating from college, he began a professional career with the Boy Scouts of America as a District Executive. His drive and determination led to career promotions starting in Little Falls, MN, St. Joseph, MO and Kansas City, MO. While there he became a staunch Kansas City Chiefs football fan.  He married Soozie Rodseth and were blessed with son Anthony in 1982.

Dave made a career change in Kansas City to landscaping followed by mortgage banking. Health issues became prevalent and in 2021 he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to be closer to his son. In 2023 he was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia and received ongoing hospice care until his passing.

Dave loved being with family, attending many reunions but nothing could compare to his time with his son Anthony.  They spent much time camping and working on baseball skills. He adjusted his job schedule in order to attend college baseball games whenever his son pitched.

His storytelling, compassion and love of life will be missed.

He is survived by his son Anthony (Alison) Przybylski of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister Mary Przybylski of Brooklyn Park, MN; brothers Leonard (Lori Carlson) Przybylski of Eagan, MN; Gordon (Yvonne) Przybylski of Perham, MN; Tom (Elizabeth) Przybylski of Cedar Falls, IA; Dan Przybylski, John Przybylski of Brooklyn Park, MN and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Przybylski, mother Eleanor Solberg and sister Marlene Gray.
