Delores M. Bjornstad, 
89, Ada, MN, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, with her family by her side, at in Heartland at Valley 4000, Grand Forks, ND.
Delores was born on November 27, 1929, in Blue Earth County near South Bend, MN. Her parents were Henry and Esther (Seppman) Cassman. At the age of 11, she moved with her family to a farm near Felton, MN, where she attended school and graduated from Felton High School in 1949. Delores enrolled in the Bethesda Nursing School in Crookston, MN, and graduated with her nursing degree. She moved to Ada and started her career with the Ada Municipal Hospital and John Wimmer Memorial Nursing Home. After 41 years she retired from nursing.
Delores was united in marriage to James Bjornstad on September 1, 1953, in Ada. Together they raised two sons and enjoyed being active in the Ada community and Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, and always canned her produce and enjoyed sharing with neighbors and friends. She also loved baking, especially Norwegian foods, like lefsa and flatbread. Along with participating in Ladies Aid at Grace Lutheran Church, she also enjoyed camping with family and sightseeing at area parks.
She is survived by two sons, Carl of East Grand Forks MN, and Paul (Barbara) of La Crosse, WI, two grandchildren, Richard Bjornstad & Christine Bjornstad, one great grandson, Gerrit Bjornstad, three sisters, Helen Ronglie, Moorhead, MN, Carol Halverson, Ada, Velma Dunham, Felton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter-in-law, Barbara Bjornstad, and brothers; Dale, Wilbur, Bill, Vernon, and Burnet.
Funeral: 11:00AM, Monday, May 6, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.
Visitation: One hour before the funeral on Monday at the church.
Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
