Dennis W. Gnadt – Obit

Dennis W. Gnadt, 73, Lockhart, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 19, 2021, in Mahnomen, MN. 

Dennis Willis Gnadt was born on December 13, 1947, to Jack and Delores (Geiselhart) Gnadt in Ada, Minnesota. He graduated from Ada High School in 1965. He was a man of many trades and went on to make a lifelong career in transportation services.

His life was centered on family and friends. He enjoyed spending his summers at the lake and visiting his kids in the winter months. He was a lifelong Vikings fan although often disappointed with the outcome. He also enjoyed listening to local sporting events, fishing on his boat, and riding around on his custom Donny Schatz golf cart. Most of all he loved spending time on the road, whether it be for work, cruising in his corvette, or riding his motorcycle.

Dennis is survived by his children, Bobi Jo Morse, Jason Gnadt (Shanna), Amy Gnadt, and Lisa Walseth (Brock); brothers, Lyle (JoAnne), and Dewayne (Sheryl); sister, Debra (Gerry); 15 grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Allison, Mitchell, Drew, Kailee, Kinsey, Chloe, Landen, Graceyn, Theron, Tracey, Easton, Emry, and an expected grandson, Jase; and 4 great-grandchildren, Ryker, Rylan, Willoughby, and an expected great-grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Delores; son, Bruce Gnadt; and his beloved dog, Tanner.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN. Due to COVID 19 concerns please wear a mask when attending the visitation and funeral.

Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM prayer service. The visitation and prayer service has been moved from Friday, November 26 to Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN, and also one hour before the memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Inurnment: Pleasant View Cemetery, Lockhart, MN.
