Douglas Allen Strommen – Obit

Douglas Allen Strommen, 58, of Crookston, MN, passed away at his home on February
25, 2023, after battling ill health for many months.

Douglas was born on June 6, 1964, to Donald and Delores (Eck) Strommen at Bethesda
Hospital in Crookston, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran
Church. Douglas attended Crookston Public Schools through 12th grade.

After high school, he had numerous jobs at American Crystal Sugar, Dahlgren’s, and New Flyer. He was a hard worker. While growing up, he enjoyed camping with his family and talking on the phone. Later in life, he enjoyed the company of his nieces and nephews,
and then his great-nieces and great-nephews.

Douglas is survived by his mother, Delores Strommen (Crookston), and brother, Daniel Strommen (Crookston); along with nieces, Amanda Strommen and Ashley (Aaron) Gagner; nephews: Ross Strommen, Zachary Strommen, and Brock Strommen; great-nephews, Aadin and Ames Gagner; and great-nieces, Adley Gagner and Kendra Strommen. Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Donald Strommen; and siblings: Debbie Paulson, David Strommen, and Dale Strommen.

A service will be held at a date in late May, with information to be released at that time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
