EAGLES CLUB STATE CONVENTION JOINT AWARDS PROGRAM AND BANQUET RECAP

The Crookston Eagles Club is hosting the Minnesota Eagles Club State Convention. On Thursday night, the Auxiliary and Aerie came together for the annual award ceremony and banquet.

LEADING UP TO THE JOINT AWARDS PROGRAM
Before the banquet and awards program commenced, Thursday was filled with Auxiliary and Aerie meetings.“Thursday was our kickoff to our general sessions where all the delegates from all over Minnesota come together,” said Crookston Eagles Club Secretary. “The Auxiliary met at the Crookston Inn, and the Aerie met at the Crookston Eagles Club. We then broke out of our general sessions then we had our Joint Banquet.”

AWARDS CEREMONY
The award ceremony saw many individuals get recognized for their efforts as Eagle Club members, awards included were Aerie officers’ recognition, Auxiliary officers’ recognition, Aerie awards, Auxiliary Awards, and an Eagles Club Hall Of Fame inductee. One of the award winners was Jake Fee, as Secretary of the Year.

MONEY RAISED FOR LOCAL CHARITIES
There were four charities highlighted at the ceremony, and as of Thursday, these charities grossed more than $30,000, with donations still valid through Saturday. These charities are Camp Confidence, Hope Chest, Crookston FFA, and the Crookston School District.
The donations are listed below-
Crookston FFA received $3,000
Crookston School District received $2,500 for the multi-use complex               
Camp Confidence received $6,417.55                                                                    Hope Chest received $23,539

HOPE CHEST
Hope Chest was the last charity highlighted during the Awards Program. This charity helps the urgent needs of Minnesota breast cancer patients and their families. Needs such as mortgage payments, transportation, groceries, and utility bills. This organization was founded in 2001 and continues to help breast cancer patients and their families today.
