On Friday, January 10 at approximately 1:34 a.m., officers of the Grand Forks Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a maroon Ford Five Hundred. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and subsequently drove into East Grand Forks, MN over the Kennedy Bridge where the pursuit was continued by East Grand Forks Police Department. The vehicle continued through East Grand Forks where it then drove back into Grand Forks on Demers Avenue.
The pursuit was again taken over by officers of the Grand Forks Police Department and the vehicle continued south on Belmont Avenue. The vehicle made a series of turns and began to accelerate to higher speeds. The pursuit was terminated at this point and the vehicle was later found abandoned on the 2400 block of Estabrook Drive.
A perimeter was established and a female, later identified as being a passenger of the suspect vehicle, was located near the vehicle. The passenger was identified as being Hannah Azure DOB 1/25/95. The driver was not located and identification is pending further investigation.
Hannah Azure was placed under arrest for possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia and Hindering and transported to the GFCCC.
