The East Grand Forks School Board met Monday evening and unanimously approved requiring facemarks for Kindergarten through sixth-graders. The vote was because the increasing COVID cases in the school district and the City of East Grand Forks.
Several school board members expressed they didn’t want to make the decision to facemark, but voted for it because it was the best thing to do to make sure they continue in-person learning.
Superintendent Mike Kolness East Grand Forks’ total enrollment has increased from 1,853 last year to to 2,063 students this year.
