Edith M Danielson – OBIT

Edith M. Danielson, 94, of Euclid, MN, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at Woodside Village in Grand Forks, ND.

Edith Marie Schulz was born April 10, 1929 in Euclid, MN to Walter and Lena (Nielsen) Schulz. She grew up near Euclid, where she was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Euclid. On April 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Conrad Danielson in Crookston, MN. They made their home on the farm in Euclid, where they raised their three children, Randy, Richard, and DeLila. Sadly, on May 29, 1993, Conrad lost his battle with cancer. Edie was a member of the American Agri Women and the Harvest of Knowledge.  She won the top National LEAVEN award for American Agri-Women in 1997 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Crookston. Edie’s faith and family were very important to her. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Crookston and was involved with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and was also a strong supporter of Lutheran Island Camp. She enjoyed her trips to the Holy Land and to many other overseas countries and many cruises and casinos.  She loved to be in the Versatile tractors and combines farming the land in which she loved. In later years, she enjoyed spending the winters in Mesa, AZ with her dear friend, Michael Conneran.

Edie is survived by son, Randy (Beverly) Danielson of East Grand Forks, MN; daughter, DeLila Danielson of Clovis, CA; daughter-in-law, Karen Danielson (Nick Sanders) of Crookston, MN; brother, Walter Schulz of Ham Lake, MN; grandchildren, Jeremy Danielson of Clovis, CA, Kari Gudmundson of Crookston, MN, Kristi (Bob) Chisler of Brownsville, PA, Ryan Danielson of Euclid, MN, Ashley (Jeremy) McCarthy of Devils Lake, ND, and Michael Danielson of East Grand Forks, MN; and great-grandchildren, Shelby, Mckenzie, Leah, Paige, Zachary, Logan, Cayden, Jack, Harlee, Devin, and Keira. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lena Schulz; husband, Conrad Danielson; son, Richard “Rick” Danielson; brother, Everett Schulz; sisters, Dorene Burke and Mildred Wimpfheimer; and special friend, Michael Conneran, Sr.

VISITATION: 2:00-4:00 PM with PRAYER SERVICE at 3:30 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721.

FUNERAL: 11:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2023, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 217 S. Broadway, Crookston, MN 56716 with visitation one hour prior. Funeral Service will be live-streamed on Edie’s page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com.

INTERMENT: Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, MN.

LUNCHEON: Immediately following the burial at the Crookston Inn, 2200 University Ave., Crookston, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Valley Senior Living or a charity of the donor’s choice.
