Edward Beil – OBIT

Edward Joseph Beil, 79, of Yorkville, Ill., passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, Ill. 

He was born on June 13, 1945, in New York, N.Y., the son of Michael and Josephine (Pastore) Beil. Edward was united in marriage on June 16, 1967, to Janice Reitmeier, and they spent the next 57 years happily together. Mr. Beil served in the United States Air Force for four years active and two years inactive. He was employed for many years by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a terminal manager until his retirement. Edward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Janice Beil of Yorkville; his children, Paula (Patrick) Hawes of Seven Valleys, Pa., Jeffrey (Gretchen) Beil of Malvern, Iowa, and Patrick (Michelle) Beil of Elburn, Ill.; his grandchildren, Alex Beil of Omaha, Neb., Kaitlyn Beil of Fargo, N.D., Dylan Hawes of Seven Valleys, Cecilia Beil of Elburn, and Conor Beil of Elburn; his siblings, Janette Cavone, Margaret VanDezan, William Beil and Joseph Beil; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Josephine Beil; his siblings, Cathy Davies, Michael Beil, Raymond Beil, Francis Beil, and Dorothy Marsh.
