East Grand Forks Public Schools Superintendent Mike Kolness send out the following communication to East Grand Forks parents to update them on Monday’s school day and changes in transportation. The information is below –
Good evening EGF ISD 595 Families and Staff Members!
Mother Nature did not cooperate over the weekend and the heavy rains in the region have created many challenges. East Grand Forks ISD 595 is planning to operate as scheduled on Monday, April 25th, but student transportation in rural areas will be limited. Several roads in the area are underwater and buses will not drive through the water. Roads that are not paved are saturated and buses will not be able to drive down them until further notice. Debbie Delisle or other members of the transportation team have attempted to contact all impacted rural bus route families to discuss rural route adjustments. Please check your voicemail if you have not visited with anyone in person today. If you did not get a phone call or voice mail, then nothing has changed for your family. Please feel free to contact Debbie Delisle at 218-779-9795 (mobile) or 218-773-0476 (office). You can also contact the District Office at 218-773-3494 if you are not able to get in touch with Debbie.
Please review the information listed below and stay tuned for updates. We will be closely monitoring the conditions and making adjustments when needed. This will be a challenging week and I am thankful for your patience, flexibility, and willingness to do what is best for the students.
