EMERGENCY RAILROAD CROSSING REPAIRS TO TAKE PLACE BEGINNING ON FRIDAY

The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced that there will be emergency railroad crossing repairs to begin on June 3. The repairs will take place at:

  • June 3: Highway 59 (3rd street) in Thief River Falls
  • June 6 – 9: Highway 220 east of East Grand Forks near Mallory
    • Highway 220 will be closed from Highway 2 to Polk County Road 72

The road will be closed until crews complete the repairs. Motorists should seek alternate routes.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
