Crookston High School’s Math Counts team finished second place and Emma Gunderson won the event in the Thief River Falls competition on Friday.
Three Crookston students finished in the Top 10 individually with Emma Gunderson winning the competition, Nathan Johanneck – 8th place, and Isabelle Smith placed 10th out of 65 students.
As a team Gunderson, Johanneck, Smith, and Tessa Webber placed second. Maddie Harbott and Jack Everett also competed from Crookston.
Emma Gunderson will advance to the individual state competition for Mathcounts and the Crookston team will wait to see if they earn a wildcard position to the state team competition.
