PILOT OF FATAL CROP SPRAYING PLANE CRASH WAS ADAM PARNOW OF CROOKSTON

UPDATED INFORMATION
The pilot of the aircraft involved in the crash on June 27 was identified as Adam Thomas Parnow, 39, of Crookston. Parnow was flying a Schweizer G-164B plane with registration number N7503HThe. FAA is investigating the incident, and no further details will be released by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

ORIGINAL STORY
On Tuesday, June 27,
at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Section 35 of Hammond Township for a report of an airplane crash. Hammond Township is located south of Crookston, in between Climax and Beltrami.

When first responders arrived on the scene, it was discovered that an agricultural airplane had crashed into a field. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, was found deceased inside the aircraft.

The crash is still under investigation, and no further information will be released at this time. The name of the deceased will be released at a later time, pending family notification.

Assisting agencies were Beltrami Fire Department, Fertile Fire Department, Crookston Fire Department and County EMS.
