FERTILE LIBRARY TO HOST BOOK CLUB DISCUSSION OF “WE BEGIN AT THE END”

The Fertile Public Library’s Resolute Readers Book Club will meet this month to discuss “We Begin at the End” by Chris Whitaker, a novel about two kinds of families. The ones we are born into and the ones we create.

The book features a thirteen-year-old self-proclaimed outlaw who protects her five-year-old brother and parents, her single mother, a sheriff whose testimony sent his best friend to prison 30 years ago, and a prisoner whose release brings trouble to his hometown. The group will meet on Wednesday, August 16, at 4 p.m. at the Fertile Public Library at 101 Mill St. S. All are welcome. The July book selection is “The Library Book” by Susan Orlean, which will be discussed on September 20 at 4 p.m.
