Fertile Library to Host Craft Event for Teens on September 18

Teens and young adults are invited to create artistic dragon eyes out of clay with a program at the Fertile Public Library. The program is geared toward teens and will be hosted in two sessions as long as supplies last. Sessions will be held on Wednesday, September 18, from 1:45-3:00 p.m. with refreshments provided by Polk County Family Resource Center and on Wednesday, September 18, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. All programs are offered free-of-charge

The same afternoon, the Fertile Public Library’s Resolute Readers Book Club will meet this month to discuss Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Originally published in 1932, this dystopian book is about a future with an engineered and medicated society that is passive and useful to the ruling class. The group will meet on Wednesday, September 18, at 4 p.m. at the Fertile Public Library, located at 101 Mill St. S. All are welcome.
