FOUR PIRATE GOLFERS WRAP UP FINAL DAY OF SECTION 8AA TOURNEY

Crookston Pirate Golfers Garrett Fischer, Kaylie Clauson, Grace Fischer, and Georgia Sanders competed on the final day of the Section 8AA Golf Tournament in Bemidji at the Town and Country Course on the north shore of Lake Bemidji.

PIRATE GIRLS-

Grace Fischer, a senior, shot a 98 in the first round and a 91 in the second round for a total of 189. In the second round, she had four pars, nine bogies, and five double bogies. After cutting seven strokes off her score, Fischer improved five places and finished in 18th place to wrap up her Pirate career.

Georgia Sanders, a sophomore, shot a 105 in her first round and shaved 19 strokes off her round two score with an 86. She had one birdie on the par three 110-yard 14th hole. She also had six pars, eight bogies, two double bogies, and one triple bogey. Sanders finished 19th place.

Kaylie Clauson, a sophomore, shot a 95 in the first round and finished with a 98 for a 193. In the second round, Kaylie had three pars, nine bogies, four double bogies, and two triple bogies. She finished tied for 21st place.

The medalist was Anna Eckman of Park Rapids with a four under par 140, five strokes better than runner-up Sophie Cook of Hawley.
Park Rapids had a huge second round and shot 20 strokes better than Fergus Falls to win the meet with a 678, 16 strokes better the Fergus Falls.

PIRATE BOYS-
Garrett Fischer, a freshman, shot an 80 in the first round and shot an 89 in the second round for a two-round total of 169. In the second round, Garrett had a birdie on the 12th hole for the second straight day. He also had four pars, 10 bogies, two double bogies, and one quadruple bogey. The 169 was good for 18th place overall.

The co-medalists were both from Roseau as Max Wilson and Teagan LaPlante both recorded 147’s, and the Roseau Rams advance to the State Class AA tournament in Jordan next week as they won the team title, 31 strokes better than runner-up Fergus Falls.
