The Fraternal Order of Eagles Grand Worthy President Rick Powell will visit the Crookston Eagles Club on Wednesday, September 21. There will be a meet and greet at 5:30 p.m. and dinner, and a short program at 6:30 p.m.
Rick Powell, Grand Worthy President of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, joined Wright Aerie #2641 in Fairborn, Ohio, in 1982. He has held most Aerie offices and served for 23 years as Aerie Auditor. He is an Ohio Past State President and served as Director of the Ohio State Eagles Family Recreation Park for ten years. Aerie #2641 consolidated with Tipp City Aerie #2201 in 2019, which is Rick’s home Aerie now.
Powell was the Worthy President of the Fairborn Ritual Team, which has been Ohio State Champions four times and Grand Aerie Champions three times. He also serves as Worthy President on class B-3 teams that have been Ohio State Champions five times and Grand Aerie Champions twice. He has been honored as All-Star Worthy President in Ohio State Competition five times. Rick also serves on a team of Grand Aerie Officers.
Brother Rick was a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, a financial planning and wealth management services provider. He and his business partner managed more than $120 million in assets for their clients. He is currently a liaison between the Board of Grand Trustees and the Grand Aerie Investment Board, where his financial and investment skills serve as an asset to the Order.
He and his wife, Alma, have two sons and two granddaughters. Powell has donated more than 20 gallons of blood at a local community blood center. He loves to fish when time permits and always enjoys spending time with his Eagle brothers and sisters.
The meal at the Crookston Eagles Club will be a pot roast dinner at 6:30 p.m. It is free for all Eagle members and $15 for non-Eagle members. If you plan to attend, please call the club at (218) 281-3881 to sign up for the dinner.
