GET KIDS OUTDOORS YOUTH FISHING TRIP IS JULY 29, REGISTER BY JULY 25

Get Kids Outdoors will host a youth fishing day on Monday, July 29. The trip will include a stop at the Rydell National Wildlife Refuge in the morning and fishing on Maple Lake.

The trip has a limit of 27 kids ages 11-15. The cost is free, and every kid will get a free fishing rod combo and tackle box full of tackle. “It’s for kids that really want to go fishing and want to try the experience, but for whatever reason, they don’t get the chance,” said Fred Parnow of Get Kids Outdoors. “Those are the types of kids that the activity would inspire them to continue into the future. For kids to do that, we have to help them with the tools and give them the tools so wherever they live, they can go to the river, a pond, or wherever.”
