The Golden Link Senior Center will be closed beginning at 3:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 17. However, the Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors will still be available to those who are registered daily in the parking lot through the North Country Food Bank explained Executive Director Corrina Doyea. “The NAPS program is where we get the food shelf items for the seniors here and they pick it up,” said Doyea. “The North Country Food Bank will have that in the parking lot instead of in the building as usual. Everybody that is signed up for those food products can come to the parking lot same time as usual and they can pick up their food.”
NAPS is available to seniors 60 and older who meet the income criteria. Seniors need to be signed up in advance. The next delivery date is Monday, March 23.
