KROX has received several reports on what the Governor will announce at 1:15 p.m. today.

These reports are all unofficial until Governor Tim Walz makes the announcement at 1:15 p.m.

The unofficial reports are the following –

The Governor will allow youth and high school sports to resume January 4 with practice only. The start date for games hasn’t been determined at this point and the Governor/state department of health will have discussions with the Minnesota State High School League and others.

Holiday/Christmas gatherings will allow up to three households to a maximum of 15 people.

Health clubs will be allowed to open at 25 percent capacity and 12 feet of social distancing and facemasks at all times will be required.

Restaurants will be allowed to have outdoor seating (some have been creative with the purchase of ice houses) up to 50 percent capacity and a limit of four per table.

KROX will have the press conference live at 1:15 p.m.
