GOVERNOR WALZ TO HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE AT 1:15 PM ON WEDNESDAY. KROX WILL CARRY LIVE

On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, Governor Tim Walz will address Minnesotans with a press conference at 1:15 p.m. to discuss the state’s next steps to combat COVID-19. Governor Tim Walz will be joined by Dr. Kenneth Holmen, President and CEO of CentraCare in the press conference. KROX will carry the press conference live on the radio and also offer the video on our website.

Governor Walz will hold an in-person media availability at 2:15 p.m. at the Minnesota Department of Revenue and sign the $216 million small business relief package into law. Governor Walz will be joined by Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm; Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Steve Grove; and Minnesota Department of Education Deputy Commissioner Heather Mueller. KROX will carry the media availability live on the radio.
At 3:15 p.m. he will hold an outstate media availability and KROX will carry that live on the radio too.

The Governor is expected to extend the in-person dining at restaurants and bars and there hasn’t been word on sports, gyms, and movie theatres.
