At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Monday, August 28, the Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to the Valley Ho Mobile Home Park, Lot #69, for a report of a structure fire.
Fire Crews arrived on the scene to find smoke from a mobile home. Crews entered the structure and found and extinguished a fire in the bath and laundry area of the house. Fire damage was isolated to that area, with smoke damage throughout.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and currently under investigation. The home’s occupants were displaced due to the fire and were assisted by family.
The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one truck, and one command vehicle with twenty personnel. There were no injuries to the public or fire service personnel. Altru Ambulance, Grand Forks Police Department, and Xcel Energy assisted the Fire Department.
