GRAND FORKS FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TRAILER FIRE

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on Monday, October 23, the Grand Forks Fire Department was notified of a fire involving a trailer utilized for applying asphalt.

Fire Crews arrived on the scene to find a trailer significantly involved in the fire. Fire crews attacked the fire, but due to the construction of the trailer and fire involvement, the fire was difficult to extinguish. After assistance from Strata Corporation personnel, fire crews could gain access and extinguish the fire.

The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one truck, and one command vehicle with twenty personnel. There were no injuries to the public or fire service personnel. The Fire Department was assisted by Altru Ambulance and Strata personnel.
