GRAND FORKS FIRE DEPARTMENT WAKES UP TO GARAGE FIRE ON 2ND AVE N

At approximately 4:21 a.m. on February 18, 2023, the Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to 1021 2nd Ave N for a garage that was on fire.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found fire and smoke coming from a detached two-stall garage. Fire crews extinguished the fire, but the garage and the contents of the garage sustained significant damage. No injuries occurred to the public or any personnel on the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one truck, and one command vehicle, with eighteen personnel. Grand Forks Fire Department was assisted by the Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance.
