At approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday, May 12the Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a mobile home located at 5246 5th Ave N.
When fire crews arrived on scene they observed light smoke coming from a window and door of the mobile home. Fire crews made their way into the home and quickly extinguished the flames. No residents were living in the mobile home at the time of the fire. No other structures were damaged; there were no injuries to fire department personnel.
The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with 14 personnel on 4 engines, 1 ladder truck, and 1 command vehicle. Damage to the mobile home is estimated at about $10,000.00. Fire Marshals from the Grand Forks Fire Department were called to the scene to investigate the cause. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance were on scene assisting.
