Earlier today, on October 26, 2022, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Grand Forks Police Department officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Wren Dr. for a report of shots fired. The initial arriving officers located a deceased adult male subject lying in a driveway. Officers immediately conducted a sweep of the adjacent house and located a second adult female subject with an obvious gunshot wound. The female was transported to Altru ER for medical treatment, and her current status is unknown.

The incident is being investigated as a Domestic Involving a Firearm. The names of those involved will be released tomorrow morning and the status of the female is still unknown.

This event is being investigated as a domestic violence-related incident involving a firearm. The nature of the relationship between the male and female is mother and son. The mother is identified as Jennifer Jean Harrison, 53 years old, of Grand Forks.
The son is identified as Tyler Christopher Harrison, 21 years old, of Grand Forks.
T. Harrison had what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was deceased upon officers’ arrival. J. Harrison had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to her torso and head. She was transported to Altru for medical treatment where she remains, and her current condition is unknown.
The involved parties were known to each other and lived together at the residence in Grand Forks. There is no known danger to the public at large and no other persons of interest are being sought currently.

The victim in this incident, Jennifer Jean Harrison, has succumbed to her injuries
sustained on October 26.
