On Saturday, February 14, at approximately 4:33 pm, Grand Forks Police officers were dispatched to a reported stabbing that had just occurred in the Lagrave Place Apartments at 812 4th Ave. S. Arriving officers located a female victim with stab wounds. She was transported to Altru with non-life-threatening injuries.
Through investigation, a suspect was identified as 42-year-old Fernando Lucio of Grand Forks. He was located a short time later at a neighboring apartment building and taken into custody without incident. He was arrested for aggravated assault and terrorizing and was transported to jail.
