GRAND FORKS POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO MAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE

At about 2:35 p.m. on Friday, July 7, officers were dispatched to South 24th Street and 32nd Avenue South regarding a man struck by a vehicle. The adult male was in the roadway and was transported by Altru Ambulance to the hospital. His condition is currently unknown. According to a witness, the man was crossing 32nd Avenue South was on foot but not in the crosswalk when a Chrysler van struck him. The van was traveling east in the inside eastbound lane, and the man was crossing in a northerly direction. The van was driven by an adult female with no passengers. The driver’s and pedestrians’ names will not be released at this time. Assisting the call was the Fire Dept. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call the Police Dept. at (701)787-8000.
