GRAND FORKS POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT

Earlier today, Officers of the Grand Forks Police Dept. were dispatched to an injury accident involving two vehicles near the intersection of 9th Avenue South and South Washington Street.

Reports indicated both vehicles were traveling Northbound on South Washington Street near the 900 blocks when vehicle #1, a 2011 Honda CRV driven by 22-year-old Elva Bissonette, was changing lanes and, in the process, struck the front end of a 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by 69-year-old Ronald Scott. The impact caused the Honda CRV to lose control and strike the berm. The impact with the berm then caused the vehicle to roll over onto its passenger side. All four occupants of the involved vehicles were transported to Altru with minor injuries. Bissonette was cited for Care required.

Assisting on the call was the GF Fire Department and Altru Ambulance.
