GRAND FORKS POLICE INVESTIGATING AFTER 16-YEAR-OLD IS SHOT WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES

The Grand Forks Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Grand Forks in the early morning hours of July 19th, 2020.

The East Grand Forks Police Department stopped a vehicle in East Grand Forks for a traffic violation and discovered a 16-year-old male in the vehicle with a non-life-threatening gunshot injury to his shoulder. Details of the incident are limited at this time. However, the information available suggests that the injury occurred in the vehicle while it was being driven in Grand Forks, and it appears to have been an accident. The identity of the person who fired the gun is unknown at this time, but they are believed to be acquainted with the victim. They don’t believe there is any threat to the general public in relation to this incident.
