On September 23, at approximately 10:58 a.m. the Grand Forks Police Department was notified of a robbery that had occurred several minutes prior at 2002 South Washington Street. The location is the Orton’s Cenex Gas Station.
The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black t-shirt, light gray sweater, black jeans, black tennis shoes and a black mask over the bottom half of his face. The male was estimated as being 5’6” tall and having a slim build. The employee stated that the suspect was in possession of a handgun. The suspect was able to steal the till and fled the scene on foot. No employees were injured in the incident.
Upon arrival, officers established a perimeter and used a K-9 to track the suspect. The subject was not located but the till was recovered.
