GRAND FORKS POLICE RESPOND TO DISTURBANCE INVOLVING A GUN

On September 21, at approximately 8:13 p.m. officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to 404 Oak St. for a report of a disturbance involving a male subject reported to have a gun.  Upon arrival to the area, officers made contact with a male victim who reported a physical altercation had occurred with a person known to him.  The victim displayed a firearm to defend himself and diffuse the situation which caused the suspect to flee the area.  The suspect was not located at this time however this appears to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be an on-going threat to public safety.  Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted on this call.    Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the Grand Forks Police Department by one of the following methods:
