GRAND FORKS POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN EARLY MORNING ROBBERY

On Monday, July 8 at approximately 6:53 a.m., officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were notified of a robbery that had just occurred in the 2300 block of S. 17th St.   The victim, a 62-year-old female Grand Forks resident, had exited her apartment when she was approached by a male subject brandishing a knife and demanding money.  The female victim gave the subject a small amount of cash, at which time the suspect pushed her away and fled.  The male then rode away from the area on a bicycle.  The incident had occurred an estimated half hour prior to when it was reported, and the victim suffered no injuries from the incident.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6’0”, slim build, shoulder length brown hair, blue jeans, a light colored t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off (muscle shirt), minimal facial hair, and his age to be in his early to mid-twenties.  At this time, the suspect remains unidentified.
