City of Grand Forks Vacuum Leaf Collection will begin next week on October 11, with crews planning to make at least two complete passes through town, weather permitting. Crews will be following the Street Maintenance Parking Schedule during this year’s leaf collection.
To take advantage of vacuum leaf collection, residents can pile leaves (no grass or branches) loosely on the berm (next to the curb), away from obstacles such as trees and mailboxes. Streets and gutters must remain clear of debris so as not to plug storm drains.
Residents who wish to haul their leaves and/or grass to one of the yard waste drop sites in town can do so through mid-November. Note: Please remove plastic bags when depositing leaves at the sites so that this material can be composted.
