GRAND FORKS WILL CLOSE MULTIPLE ROADS FOR ROLLIN’ ON THE RIVER INLINE MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON ON SATURDAY MORNING

Rollerbladers & Cyclists will be abundant in Grand Forks on Saturday, August 20, 2022, for the Rollin’ on the River Inline Marathon and Half Marathon. The marathon begins at Central Valley School in Buxton, ND, and the half-marathon will start at Choice Health & Fitness in Grand Forks. Both races will begin at 7:00 a.m.

This year’s route will combine county roads, city streets, and Greenway trails. Vehicles will not be allowed on the course when the race is underway. The race will impact traffic in Grand Forks from 13th Ave. S to 62nd Ave. S. and from S. Columbia Road to Belmont Rd. There will be a controlled crossing at 24th Ave. S. making this the best route to get to Lincoln Golf Course. Maps of the complete full and half marathon routes can be found at www.gfinline.com/.

The race will conclude around 10:00 a.m., at which time residents can expect all areas to be reopened to the public.

The Cities Area Transit (CAT) Route 10 will be detoured during the Inline Marathon on Saturday morning. The following stops will not be served during the event:

  • 20th & Cherry
  • 24th & Cherry
  • 28th & Cherry
  • Kelly/Schroeder
  • Tufte Manor
  • Good Will
  • Cherry St. Townhomes
  • 40th & Cherry
  • Choice Health & Fitness

 The regular route will resume when the event is finished.
