GRAND THEATER WELCOMES AMERICAN CRYSTAL PILER/YARD WORKERS FOR MOVIE

On Wednesday, the Grand Theatre opened its doors for a special movie viewing for the piler/yard workers who are currently unable to work because of the weather.  Theatre owner Brian Moore said the Red River Valley Growers Association and American Crystal called him on Tuesday to schedule a special showing.  “The growers association called me Tuesday and set up a movie for Wednesday,” said Moore.  “They bought popcorn and pop for everyone and I opened the whole theater for them.  It was a good deal for the seasonal workers because they haven’t been out in the fields much.”

More than 120 people, workers and some families of workers, attended the special viewing at the Grand Theatre.

American Crystal and the Red River Valley Growers Association also sent a statement thanking Moore.  “We, the American Crystal Ag Staff along with the Red River Valley Growers Association, want to thank Brian for accommodating us on short notice and offering popcorn, pop, and a movie to the workers for a very reasonable rate.”
