The City of Grand Forks has announced Delta Air Lines, and its long-time regional partner SkyWest Airlines, is enhancing service at Grand Forks International Airport (GFK). Effective April 13, 2026, an additional daily flight will be added between GFK and Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP), bringing GFK closer to its 2019 service levels. In addition, the Delta Connection flights, operated by SkyWest, will be on board the newest premium regional jet: the CRJ550.
“Expanding commercial air service at Grand Forks Airport has been one of my top priorities to help support both our business community and residents with more travel options.” Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski said. “The restoration of a fourth daily Delta Connection flight is a big step towards rebuilding and growing our air service opportunities.”
“We are excited to provide this additional daily Delta Connection flight for travelers at Grand Forks International Airport,” said Cody Thomas, managing director of Market Development at SkyWest Airlines. “The additional flight will mean more connections, more convenience, and more opportunities for passengers to get anywhere they want to go on Delta’s global network. Plus, they’ll enjoy the elevated cabin experience available onboard the CRJ550.”
“The return of a fourth daily Delta Connection flight to MSP is a great first step forward to support economic development in the region,” remarked President and CEO of Economic Development in Grand Forks, Keith Lund. “Frequent air service options are critical to our market attractiveness as we promote Grand Forks for business investment, both from expansion of local industry and attracting new industry to our region.”
Grand Forks was the only airport to receive additional MSP flights during this round of Delta schedule additions. Customers can start booking the new flight from Grand Forks now for travel starting Monday, April 13, 2026.
