HIGHLAND FOURTH GRADERS LEARN ABOUT MEDICINE AT ALTRU CLINIC

Fourth graders at Highland Elementary visited Altru Clinic on Wednesday afternoon to learn about different aspects of medicine.  Students looked at X-Rays, MRIs, learned about radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy.  The students also looked at real lungs (from a pig) showing the difference between healthy lungs and the lungs of a smoker.  And finally, students got to witness an ultrasound and see live images of a baby still in the womb.
