Highway 75 construction in Perley to resume May 4

The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today that construction on Highway 75 in Perley will resume May 4. The project began in May 2024, with Stage 1 completed in September 2024 and Stage 3 completed in 2025. Stage 2 work is scheduled from May 4 through mid-June, and motorists should expect a detour during this phase.

Highway 75 will be closed from north of 3rd Street to north of 115th Avenue. Motorists will detour using Norman County Roads 39 and 12, as well as Clay County Roads 11 and 34.

The project is led by the Wild Rice Watershed District and includes raising the grade of Highway 75 north and south of Perley.

In addition to the grade raise, project elements include:
-Grade raise on CR 39 in Perley
-Highway 75 concrete mainline, bituminous shoulders
-Norman CR 39 mill and overlay within the town of Perley
